Isabelle Bourcier has been appointed Head of Business Development at Ossiam, a subsidiary of Natixis Global Asset Management focused on ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds).

Recognized as one of the world’s 100 most influential women in finance by Financial News in 2010, Isabelle leaves Société Générale where she has spent 16 years. She will manage Ossiam’s ETF and systematic fund development team. She will also be responsible for the sales and marketing strategy. Ossiam’s straightforward, transparent approach to management will now be extended to cover ETFs and other kinds of investment funds.

Isabelle joins Ossiam from Société Générale, where she was the Global Head of Exchange Traded Products since 2006. She was also the Global Head of ETFs at Lyxor Asset Management, a Société Générale subsidiary, since its inception in 2000. In that role, she was responsible for developing and launching products, marketing and communication, recruiting, training and managing the sales and marketing teams. On Isabelle’s 10-year stint, Lyxor Asset Management became the world’s number four name in ETF management.

She joined Société Générale in 1994, initially in charge of marketing structured products, before moving on in 1996 to head the bank’s interest rate, currency and commodity warrants division.

Isabelle started her career in 1992 as European Editor in the Financial Times Group in London.

She holds a Masters of Management and International Marketing from the Institut Supérieur Européen de Gestion.

Commenting on her appointment, Isabelle said: “I am delighted to be joining the team headed by Bruno Poulin and Antoine Moreau and I look forward to working with them to establish Ossiam as a global name in the ETF business and broadening awareness of its range of intelligent, innovative products, covering a broad range of asset classes. With the backing of Natixis and the global distribution capabilities of Natixis Global Asset Management, Ossiam can provide Group clients with both long-term investment solutions and products tailored to specific concerns.”

Bruno Poulin, the CEO of Ossiam, added: “Isabelle is a fantastic addition to our team. She is an internationally recognized and respected figure in the ETF business. Bringing her on board reflects the ambitions of Ossiam.”
